Meet The Team

All the staff at Myoko Physio are highly professional and fully committed to our patients’ health. We actively keep up to date with the latest in injury management techniques to ensure that your experience with us is smooth and seamless, from first contact to last appointment. Our therapists are all highly trained and experienced, with degrees in physiotherapy from leading universities in the field. We practice an Australian style of physiotherapy.

Bevan Colless

Bevan has a degree in Sports Science from the University of Technology Sydney and a Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) from the University of Sydney. Having worked for over a decade in our ski-resort clinics, he has a special interest in acute knee injuries. Bevan lectures around Asia to physiotherapists and runners, focusing on the latest developments in running injuries, snow-sports injuries, cycling injuries and bike fitting. He is a certified Running Injury Specialist by The Running Clinic and also a F.I.S.T. certified bike fitter. Having completed more than 15 Ironman distance triathlons he is also a certified Level 1 Triathlon Coach by Triathlon Australia.

Vanessa Colless

Vanessa has a degree in Medical Science and Physiotherapy from the University of Sydney. As co-founder of Asia Physio she has worked in Japan and Singapore for over 17 years, earning her excellent reputation as an accomplished physiotherapist. She is experienced in all areas of women’s health and also performs running biomechanical assessments.

Cathy Cuff

Cathy Cuff is highly expereinced English massage therapist. She has been a therapist for over 7 years with previous experience in the French Alps and England. Her clients always come out with rave reviews so book her up while you can!

Gemma Morcombe

Gemma Morcombe is the managing physiotherapist in our Myoko clinic. She is a graduate from the University of Notre Dame in Freemantle and in between seasons works in a private clinic in Geraldton, West Australia. Gemma has a special interest in knee and shoulder injuries and has worked as a Pilates physiotherapist helping many people with back and neck pain.

Shea Hickman

Shea Hickman is a Physiotherapist, graduate from University of Otago in Dunedin. She also provides sports massage. Shea is a very keen ice climber and backcountry ski tourist and trail-runner. Shea has been working in an Auckland Physiotherapy clinic prior to moving to Japan.
